PM Modi inaugurates Vantara in Jamnagar; feeds resident animals

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Vantara, the wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation centre in Gujarat

Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, wife Nita, son Anant and daughter-in-law Radhika were also present

Modi was seen interacting with and feeding resident animals, including a white lion cub

The PM also visited the wildlife hospital at Vantara, which has facilities including MRI, CT scans, and ICUs

Modi was also seen near the enclosure of lions and came face-to-face with a Golden Tiger

He also fed a Giraffe and an orphaned One-Horned Rhino calf, whose mother had died recently

Modi also announced the Asiatic lion population estimation exercise in May and unveiled conservation plans for tigers
